This accommodation combines all of the amenities one would wish for in a top-end option with the manoeuvrability of your own private vessel. If you’ve never had a stay on a houseboat before, this your chance to experience it at its finest.
Whilst driving your houseboat around Maguga Dam, nature is all around you and notably below you – it is over a 100 meters deep and it's abundant with fish which you are allowed to catch. More fond of meat for dinner? Not to worry! The house boat is equipped with a kitchen that allows you to cook pretty much anything you could bring aboard. It has a fridge, an oven, a gas-operated stove as well as a braai.
With an extensive list of amenities included, you’ll hardly need anything more than a few good books to read while lazing away, soaking up the sun. In fact, the large upper deck of the houseboat could have been designed for just this in mind.
Other features of the boat such as a hot water shower, a dvd/tv set and an on-board Fishfinder make sure your stay on the houseboat will be nothing short of luxurious. Once you've found your mooring spot for the night, grab a bottle of wine, some olives and cheese and go to the upper deck to watch the sun set. Lounge around on the supersized beanbag for a little longer if it's a clear night: with virtually no light pollution, Maguga Dam will treat you to some of brightest starry skies you'll ever encounter.

This accommodation includes all of the amenities one would wish for in a top-end accommodation, such as hot water, towels, full kitchen facilities, and even a braai.
The main bedroom has one double bed with a lounge seating area along the windows. A 3rd or 4th guest is accommodated on a second double bed, cleverly tucked away. When needed, the kitchen table folds down, bench cushions are placed on top, and the second double bed is ready. Extra linen and pillows are provided.
The shower cabin has hot water with solid water pressure, and also includes a toilet. The flat, upper deck of the houseboat is perfect for sun bathing or relaxing. A DVD player is provided for times when the weather isn't as agreeable, as well as a few books and games.

Children policy:
Children are welcome as guests on the Maguga Dam Houseboat. Children aged 6 and younger stay for free, with the stay of two adults. Children aged 7 and older count as a 3rd guest.

The houseboat does not come equipped with power outlets to charge items such as phones, ipods, etc. Make sure you fully charge any equipment before boarding.
Fishing gear is available upon request. Please contact Hawane Resort prior to your visit if you wish to utilize this service.
If cancellation is received prior to 30 days of the date of stay, 75% of the deposit is refundable.
There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of the date of stay.
