The striking Lapa Restaurant is a piece of art. A local artist, Ray, has built the scenes off the wall and added real elements to give them a totally 3D effect. A wooden deck enveloping the front of the restaurant is the perfect “chill out” zone with is comfortable cushioned loungers. There’s no better place to unwind with your cool 'Maguga Special' cocktail in hand whilst taking in the sunset. The restaurant offers a diverse À la carte menu, aimed at tantalizing those taste buds.There is a new addition to the lodge activities in the form of the "ugly duckling" boat which is rented out by the hour for clients to enjoy a ride on the dam to enjoy even more of the stunning scenery of the area.
Maguga Lodge is the ideal stop-over to exploring Northern Swaziland. The acclaimed Ngwenya Glass factory is within 30 minutes drive. The Peak Fine Craft Centre in Piggs Peak offers wares from Likhweti Kraft; Coral Stephens Hand Weaving; and Tinsaba Crafts. All products are the result of various community based projects aimed at empowering the local women.
