Umhlanga Reed Dance

Place: Ludzudzini

The Umhlanga Reed Dance in Swaziland is arguably Africa's largest cultural event.  Up to 100 000 Swazi maidens gather and dance for the Queen Mother in an age-old demonstration of tribute to the Royal Family. Taking place over a week-long period its two public days are a spectacle that is unrivalled in Africa.

Standard Bank Slojo's Half Marathon

Place: Ezulwini Valley

This is Swaziland's most popular half-marathon road running event. A well-supported race on an interesting circular course through the beautiful Ezulwini Valley.


City-to-City MTB Classic

Place: Mbabane to Manzini

One of Swaziland's BEST mountain bike races. Starting in the capital of Mbabane, it descends to the hub city of Manzini.  A rich blend of single tracks, cattle paths, river crossings, mountain passes and minor gravel roads


Simunye Country Club Fair

Place: Simunye Country Club

Simunye Country Club Fair is an annual family entertainment event in the Swazi lowveld. It features flea market stalls, music performances, children's games, exciting fun fair rides, circus acts, professional wrestling - non-stop fun.


Inyatsi Kiddies MTB Race

A MTB cycle race just for kids. Choice of 10km or 20km routes in a safe environment. Attracting a large entry of enthusiastic kids, this is an opportunity of cycle-mad parents to put family first.


Ncwala (Festival of the First Fruits)

Place: Royal Residences across Swaziland

The Swaziland Ncwala Ceremony is the most sacred and spiritual of the annual cultural festivals in this African Kingdom. It honours the royal family and King as a source of fertility for the Nation. The Ncwala, or Incwala Ceremony offers cultural tourists a rare insight into a totally non-commercial and age-old traditional kingship event. 


Nhlangano Swazi Milling Classic

Place: Nhlangano

This road ride is one of Swaziland's favourite cycling events. Nice quiet road, so that you'll hear yourself huffing and puffing up the hills. Swaziland is not flat. 20km, 40km and 80km options. Come join us in this beautiful corner of Swaziland.

Mafutseni Challenge

Place: Mafutseni (Manzini-Siteki road)

This another road riding cycle event that takes advantage of  Swaziland's top quality, low traffic  roads. Happens just outside Manzini. The 2011 event marks the 3rd "cycle" of this annual race.
